In Gin No. 11 Recipes, Limited Release Recipes

This Halloween we’re definitely going kitschy, digging up some of the very original monsters as inspiration for these cocktails. In the spirit of the lagoon, this cocktail uses cuttlefish ink, which naturally imparts a deep, dark color to the cocktail. Since it only takes a little, this ingredient adds a very subtle note of salt to the cocktail, but other than that doesn’t affect the taste greatly. It works well with stronger, savory notes, such as Gin No. 11 and Kümmel, a caraway-flavored liqueur.

The Creature From The Black Lagoon

1½ oz Gin No. 11
¾ oz Kümmel
1 oz Fresh Lime
½ oz Rosemary Simple
1 oz Egg White
1/3 Bar Spoon Cuttlefish Ink

Shake without ice, then add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into Collins glass with ice, then garnish with a fun Halloween garnish if desired – we used fake seaweed in the lagoon theme!
