Summer weather is here, so kick off the season with some of our favorite summer sippers! These cocktails are great for groups, whether it’s a small gathering or a big cookout. Check it out:
Flip Flop Fan
This cocktail is based on the Spanish-style G&T, and is super customizable to whatever you have in your fridge or garden. Try playing with different flavors of simple syrup, or a variety of garnishes in the glass!
2 oz Gin No. 6
½ oz Lemon Verbena Simple
½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Lemon Swaths
6 Blueberries
Fever Tree Tonic
Squeeze lemon swaths into a goblet, then drop in along with the blueberries. Add lemon, simple & gin. Fill goblet with ice, then top with tonic water. Stir to mix ingredients, then add a lemon wheel on the rim of the glass for garnish.
Cooler by the Lake
Refreshing cucumber & fizzy club soda make this cocktail a great choice to sip away hot days!
2 oz North Shore Vodka
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Plain Simple
1/4 oz Cucumber Puree (or several muddled cucumber slices)
Club Soda
Add first three ingredients to tall glass, then add ice and stir. Top with club soda, stir again & garnish with a cucumber slice.
Blueberry Smash
The Smash is a super versatile cocktail, and will work great with almost any of our spirits! Try North Shore Vodka, Gin No. 6, Gin No. 11, Third Coast Rum, Aquavit – Private Reserve, or American Whiskey to start.
Muddle:
6 – 8 Blueberries
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Mint-infused Simple (or you can use plain and muddle in a few leaves)
Add:
1½ oz NSD Spirit of Choice
Muddle first three ingredients in mixing tin, then add spirit and shake with ice. Double strain into rocks glass filled with ice & garnish with a sprig of mint or a blueberry skewer, or both. Cheers!
