In Malt Whiskey Recipes

This week’s cocktail is a riff on a classic Prohibition era favorite – the Bee’s Knees! The original cocktail is made with gin, fresh lemon and honey; we’re making this version whiskey-infused, with our 2022 American Malt Whiskey.

This whiskey, made from 100% malted barley and aged in used bourbon casks, is round, with rich honey and fruit tones, a hint of hazelnut and small accents of spice. This makes it the perfect spirit for the Maltese Falcon, where it plays with additional notes of honey and lemon to create a smooth, delicious sipper with notes of spice and fruit.

Maltese Falcon

Malt Whiskey
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Honey Simple
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Shake ingredients with ice, then strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon swath.
