We’ve really felt the impact of cold weather this week! This is exactly the chilly weather calls for a boozy drink to warm you up, and for this purpose, we keep returning to a classic cocktail with a Caribbean twist that’s a favorite at the distillery – the Caribbean Sazerac.
Caribbean Sazerac
To prepare the glass: fill a rocks glass with ice, add ¼ oz Sirène Absinthe Verte. Let it chill.
In a Mixing glass, add:
2 oz Third Coast Rum
¼ oz Demerara Simple
2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
2 dashes Orange Bitters (we use Scrappy’s)
Stir ingredients well with ice. Then swirl the rocks glass with the ice/absinthe combo and dump (or keep the absinthe for later!). Strain the cocktail into the rinsed rocks glass, then garnish with a swath of orange peel.
