We’re dreaming of a white Christmas here on the North Shore, although the odds are looking slim this year … so we may have to make do with Sleigh Bells in the Snow. This delicious, surprising drink builds on the rich floral profile of Scofflaw Old Tom Gin with warm nuttiness and cream to make a rich treat perfect for a nighttime snuggle, or a cheery toast.
Sleigh Bells in the Snow
2 oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin (also delicious with 1½ oz American Whiskey instead!)
1/2 oz Averna Amaro
1/2 oz Walnut Liqueur (we’re using Maraska Orahovac, but any nocino should do the job)
1/4 oz Orgeat (Almond Syrup)
2 oz Half & Half
Shake ingredients with ice, then strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass, or into a chilled cocktail glass.
