This cocktail is a tried and true classic, which is why we’re still drinking it over a hundred years after its creation! In our version, the drink pairs the rich juniper in Gin No. 11 with bright, fresh notes of orange & lime, balanced by a hint of warm spice.
The Pegu Club originated in, fittingly, the Pegu Club (a British officer’s club in British-colonial Burma), subsequently making its way across the world into Harry Craddocks’s famous Savoy Cocktail Book. Its modern resurgence in popularity can be attributed to modern cocktail legend Audrey Saunders, who featured this cocktail both on the menu and in the name of her New York City bar, Pegu Club.
The Pegu Club

¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz Orange Liqueur (we’re using our North Shore Curaçao!)
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Shake ingredients with ice, then strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
