The Vesper 
This cocktail first appeared in Casino Royale, the first James Bond book. The story goes that Mr. Bond’s lady friend was born on a “very stormy evening” and given the name Vesper, which is the Latin word for “evening.” While Mr. Bond would have ordered his drink “shaken, not stirred,” we prefer this drink stirred. If you want to shake it, go right ahead!
3 oz Distiller’s Gin No. 11
1 oz North Shore Vodka
½ oz Lillet Blanc (or Cocchi Americano)
Stir ingredients with ice, strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with large swath of lemon peel.
