The bar team here at NSD always has a great time coming up with original tropical-style cocktails — there are so many fun flavors to play around with in that style of cocktails, and the result is always something complex & tasty.

This summer’s South Seas gets right into that island spirit, with Third Coast Rum & Sirène Absinthe Verte joining bright fruit & citrus notes of pineapple, coconut & fresh lime. It’s fruity, tropical & herbal all at once, the perfect sipper for these hot summer days, whether you’re soaking in the sunshine poolside or cooling off under in the shade (or air conditioning!).

South Seas

1½ oz Third Coast Rum
1/2 oz Sirène Absinthe Verte
1/2 oz Pineapple Liqueur (we’re using Giffard)
1¼ oz Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz Pineapple Juice
3/4 oz Coconut Syrup (we’re using Giffard)

Shake ingredients with ice, then pour entire contents of shaker into a hurricane or lantern glass. Garnish with a lime wedge & a cocktail umbrella, and an edible orchid if you have one!
