We know, we know … the phrase is usually April showers bring May flowers. But even though the cold rainy weather is sticking around, we’re dreaming of sunny spring days and vibrant beds of flowers. Also, some brave bulbs like daffodils and tulips are poking out of the ground already!
So we’re raising this cocktail to the hardy flowers here today and the future floral bounty of spring in full bloom.
April Flowers
1½ oz North Shore Vodka
½ oz Hibiscus-Rose Simple
½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
⅛ oz Crème de Violette
Club Soda
Add first 4 ingredients to a Collins glass, then fill with ice. Top with club soda, stir to combine ingredients & garnish with a lime wedge.
*Hibiscus-Rose Simple Syrup Recipe: Using our standard simple syrup recipe, bring only water to a boil, immediately remove from heat. Add two full dried hibiscus flowers and one tablespoon of dried rose petals for every cup of water, then allow to steep for 5 minutes. Strain out all solids, then add white sugar. Bring to a simmer, then simmer for one minute. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
