In Recipe - Sirène Absinthe Verte

One of the classic American stereotypes is a need for speed; after all, they say time is money. We have fast food, instant coffee, and minute rice, so the Absinthe Frappe is our American take on a French classic. It has all the elements of the traditional absinthe service – absinthe, sugar, and chilled water – but without the wait!

There are a few ways you can get fresh crushed ice at home; one of the oldest and easiest ways is simply putting the ice you need in a bag and crushing it with a rolling pin or wooden mallet.

Absinthe Frappe

1½ oz Sirène Absinthe Verte
½ oz Simple Syrup
2 oz Water

Crush ice to fill Pilsner glass to the top. In a mixing tin, stir ingredients without ice. Pour over crushed ice in Pilsner glass.
