In Rum Recipes

This past weekend, we sampled some of our spirits, and served cocktails, at Chicago Gourmet in downtown Chicago. This annual celebration of great food & drink draws thousands to Millennium Park for cooking demonstrations, tasting opportunities and good times. It was extremely hot this year, in the mid-90’s both days, so we opted for a tropical cocktail. Many people commented on how delicious our cocktail was, and how perfect for the weather – not too sweet, not too boozy, and full of summer flavor.

Without further ado, here is the recipe!

Rumbullion

1½ oz Bourbon Cask Rum
1½ oz Pineapple Juice
½ oz Ginger-infused Simple Syrup
¼ oz Fresh Lime Juice

Shake ingredients with ice, strain into rocks glass over fresh ice. Top with a splash of club soda if desired, and garnish with a lime wedge.

Cheers to another day of summer today – it’ll be gone before we know it, and we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled fall weather, so get out there and enjoy it!
