This light, yet flavorful, cocktail comes from our current “On the Lighter Side” menu – it’s full of flavor, but a little lighter on the booze. Sometimes you want that on a hot summer night (we do, anyway!). The fresh pepper gives it a little zip – you can make it zippier by adding more pepper, it’s up to you!
LEVEL THREE HEAT
In a shaker tin, muddle:
2 Slices Jalapeño (more, if desired, or use Serrano if you want to get some real zing!)
1 oz Plain Simple
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Add:
1 oz Distiller’s Gin No. 11 (more if desired)
Then shake with ice. Strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda, then garnish with a lemon swath and slice of jalapeño.
This is basically a boozed up lemonade with some fresh pepper – and it’s delicious!
