In Cocktail Recipes

Here are the cocktail recipes for all the drinks we’re featuring today at our event, sorted by spirit base. You can find recipes for the simple syrups here.

Gin

Gin Smash: In your shaker, combine 2 oz North Shore Gin No. 6, ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice, ¾ oz Mint-Infused Simple Syrup. Shake with ice, strain into chilled coupe glass or into rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint, or a swath of lemon peel.

Spanish G&T: Build this one in a large goblet or wine glass. First, add 2 oz North Shore Gin No. 6, 1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice, 1/2 0z Lavender Simple Syrup. Then, fill with ice. Top with tonic, stir, and add in a few fresh berries of choice and a lemon slice.

Vodka

Moscow Mule: Build this one in a copper mug, if you have one, or in a rocks glass. Squeeze half a lime into the glass, then drop the lime shell into the glass. Add 1½ oz North Shore Vodka. Fill with ice, then top with ginger beer. Stir, and garnish with a sprig of mint if you have one, and a lime wedge.

Berry Lemon Drop: In a shaker, muddle a few fresh berries (if using strawberries, slice first) with ¾ oz plain simple syrup. Add ¾ oz fresh lemon juice and 2 oz North Shore Vodka. Shake with ice, then fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass, or into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist, or a slice of fresh berries, or a skewer of fresh berries.

Rum

Daiquiri: To your shaker, add 2 oz North Shore Doublewood Rum, 1 oz fresh lime juice and 1 oz Demerara Simple Syrup to a shaker. shake with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe glass, or a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Planter’s Punch: In a shaker, combine 3 oz North Shore Doublewood Rum, ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice, 1 oz Demerara Simple Syrup, ¼ oz Grenadine and 3 dashes Angostura Bitters. Shake with ice, then strain into ice-filled Collins glass or double old-fashioned glass. Top with a splash of club soda, and garnish with lemon peel and/or a sprig of mint.

Whiskey:

Old Fashioned: Muddle a half-moon of fresh orange with ½ oz Demerara Simple Syrup and 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters. Add 2 oz Whiskey of Choice and ice, then stir well. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, and garnish with a cocktail cherry on a stick.

Whiskey Daisy: In a shaker, combine 1¾ oz Whiskey of Choice, ½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice, ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice and ¾ oz Demerara Simple. Shake well with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe glass or a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a piece of lemon peel or a lime wedge.
