Distilling History – Watergate, McClory, & the Resignation of a President – 7

What does the Lake Bluff Bike Path have to do with Watergate?

Both were part of the legacy of long-time Lake Bluff resident Robert McClory, a leading Republican during the investigation that toppled Richard Nixon’s presidency 50 years ago.

Join us & the Lake Bluff History Museum for “Is that any way to run a White House?” Watergate, Lake Bluff’s Robert McClory, and the resignation of a President. The presentation will provide details of McClory’s early contributions in Lake Bluff to his work on the national political stage … and back to the bike path that bears his name.

The presentation, on Tuesday October 1st, is part of our popular Distilling History Series in collaboration with Lake Bluff History Museum. We are thrilled to offer this, and future events in the series, in partnership with Lake Bluff History Museum.

Tickets are $30 and include a cocktail, light snacks and this entertaining program — and they often sell fast! Doors open at 6:15. Presentation starts at 7:00.
