In Sol Chamomile Citrus Recipes

We’ve made many, many variations on this cocktail – it’s basically a citrusy take on a Spanish-style G&T, but with the ingredients we have on hand right now. You can totally adjust this one based on what you have too – you can change out the fruits, the flavor of the infused simple, the citrus component, and even the base spirit (any gin or vodka that is not sweetened and goes with tonic will do). This cocktail is available this week as one of our quarantine cocktail kits – head here to get yours!

Walkin’ on Sunshine (April 2020 Edition)

2 oz Sol Chamomile Citrus Vodka (or one of our gins)
½ oz Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice
½ oz Orange Blossom Simple (see note below)
1-2 lime wedges, slice of tangerine and/or orange, and lemon curls
Fever Tree Tonic Water

In a large goblet, add vodka, lemon juice & simple. Squeeze in a lime wedge or two, if you have them (or add some fresh berries, or a lemon swath, or whatever you want!). Fill with ice, top with tonic. Add a slice of orange or tangerine along the inside of glass to give you a big blast of color facing you, and garnish with a lime wedge (or a lemon twist or a lemon wedge – whatever you want). Give it a quick stir, and enjoy.

For the orange blossom simple, we used Rishi orange blossom tea. To make the simple, make a strong tea first – steep 3x the normal amount of tea in 1 cup of hot water for 5 minutes. Strain out the tea, then add 1.5 cups white sugar to the tea. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. If you don’t have orange blossom tea, try lemon zinger, or cranberry tea, or even Earl Grey – many other teas will work just fine.
