In North Shore Vodka Recipes

Now that there’s been winter chill in the air, it’s time for the cozy, comfortable drinks that complement the vibes of those cozy winter elements we love – flannel pajamas, cozy fireside hangouts and classic holiday movies. The Velveteen Rabbit is one of our current winter favorites – it’s a smooth sipper with depth & richness, with notes of warming winter spice, bracing coffee and smooth North Shore Vodka, all with a deliciously creamy finish.

The Velveteen Rabbit

1½ oz North Shore Vodka
¾ oz Half & Half or Heavy Cream
½ oz Coffee Liqueur (we prefer Mr Black)
½ oz Winter Spice Simple*

Shake ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

*In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1½ cups sugar in a saucepan, along with 2-3 cinnamon sticks and a few coins of fresh ginger root. Bring to a simmer, and simmer for a few minutes, then let it cool completely. After it is cool, add ½ tsp of pumpkin pie spice blend to the syrup and stir it in well (it is important to do it after the cooking process, or it will clump in the syrup). Strain, and refrigerate in a clean glass container for up to one month. Give the syrup a quick shake before using it for best results.
