With the changing of the year, we’re focusing on classic cocktails for a bit.
A cocktail menu favorite in the 1920’s, the Bebbo is a relative of the Bee’s Knees. The addition of orange juice and a touch of bitters takes this cocktail further down the complexity road and we love using a spiced honey to make the flavors more seasonal.
The Bebbo has seen a resurgence in popularity in the past few years, and one delicious sip tells you why…
The Bebbo
1½ oz Mighty Gin
1 oz Spiced Honey Syrup
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¼ oz Fresh Orange Juice (or muddle in a slice of fresh orange, if you prefer)
Dash Angostura Bitters
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with an orange slice.
We tweaked this drink into Bebbo’s Baby with our aquavit a few years ago, give it a try if you’re feeling Scandinavian!
