In Sol Chamomile Citrus Recipes

This past weekend, we hosted a fantastic event with the Lake County Women United for the United Way, and far and away the most popular cocktail was the Lemon Berry Drop. We figured we’d make it our new drink of the week so everyone can have a chance to try this fantastic burst of summer.

The only tricky thing is getting lemon verbena for the simple syrup – it adds a floral, bright accent to the cocktail that really elevates this drink. We grow our own here, so if you’re in our area and want to make the syrup at home, stop by and we’ll pick some for you. If not, you may be able to find it at a specialty grocery store or in a dried form from a quality spice shop.

Lemon Berry Drop

Muddle:

2 strawberries cut into chunks (use just 1 if very large, or else use the equivalent in raspberries, blackberries or blueberries)
¾ Lemon Verbena Simple Syrup
¾ Fresh Lemon Juice

Add:
2 oz Sol Chamomile Citrus Vodka

Add ice, and shake well. Fine strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass, and garnish with a lemon twist. Or a slice of lemon. Or a strawberry – whatever you like!

Cheers!
