It’s Mardi Gras today, so of course we had to celebrate with a classic New Orleans cocktail! This drink’s name comes from the tall, curvy glassware, modeled after the old-fashioned hurricane lamp, that the drink is traditionally served in.
Hurricane
1 oz Bourbon Cask Rum
½ oz Doublewood Rum
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1¼ oz Passionfruit Syrup
¼ oz Cherry Liqueur
Shake ingredients well with a lot of crushed ice, then pour entire contents of shaker into a Collins glass. Garnish with an orange slice, and a popped out umbrella if you have one on hand!
