We had so much fun last Saturday at our Take Me to the Tropics Party that we’re carrying the tropical theme into this week! The Hurricane is a classic New Orleans cocktail, and its name comes from the tall, curvy glassware, modeled after the old-fashioned hurricane lamp that the drink is traditionally served in.

This drink combines the layered fruitiness of passionfruit with the tropical spice of our Third Coast Rum, sweetened with a hint of grenadine & balanced with bright citrus.

Hurricane

1½ oz Third Coast Rum
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1¼ oz Passionfruit Syrup
¼ oz Grenadine

Shake ingredients well with a lot of crushed ice, then pour entire contents of shaker into a hurricane glass (or a Collins glass). Garnish with an orange slice, and a popped out umbrella if you have one on hand!
