I love fresh grapefruit juice with gin. In this delicious cocktail, the tangy grapefruit juice adds a different layer of flavor one wouldn’t get with lemon or lime and the basil contributes an herbaceous note but doesn’t over power the other flavors. The ice in your shaker will do the muddling work for you, even, so it’s fast to make! Shake one up and sit back for smooth evening.
Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass – double strain through a fine strainer if you don’t want basil specks. Garnish with an additional sprig of basil. Cheers!
