Snow ConeAs I wrote prior, this week brings one of our favorite events of the summer – Boozy Snow Cone Night! Our friend Melissa from Jo Snow Syrups will be here on Friday, July 25th from 5 to 8 pm with some amazing boozy snow cones and her snow cone machine, as well as her amazing syrups. Each year, we have a blast coming up with new cocktails & snow cone recipes with her syrups (tasting them is a tough job, but we’re up for it!).

Here’s a preview of the cocktails we’ll be featuring on Friday night – the snow cones will be very similar in flavor profiles:

Thai One On
1½ oz North Shore Tahitian Vanilla VodkaCreamy Drink
¾ oz Jo Snow Thai Coffee Syrup
½ oz Half and Half or Cream
1 Egg White (1 oz Pasteurized Egg White, if you prefer)

Shake ingredients without ice first, then add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled cocktail glass, top with a dash of fresh ground cinnamon, if desired. This dessert style drink disappeared quickly in our house, we were in the mood for something sweet and this one fit the bill nicely. We hope you’ll love it too!

Spice is Nice
1½ oz Distiller’s Gin No. 11
¾ oz Jo Snow Blueberry Cilantro Serrano Syrup
½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
Club Soda

Shake first three ingredients with ice; strain into chilled coupe glass. Top with soda, and garnish with fresh blueberries and/or a strip of fresh Serrano pepper.

Strawberry BurstStrawberry Burst
1½ oz Sol Chamomile Citrus Vodka
1 oz Jo Snow Strawberry Mint Balsamic Syrup
½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake ingredients with ice; strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a strawberry.

Make one of these beauties at home, or join us on Friday night!
