In Gin No. 6 Recipes

This cocktail has been so popular, we’ve practically been stripping our little basil plant and we took it off the menu for a little while! We made boozy popsicles with it for the Venus de Miles cycling event, and it was a very popular drink in the Tasting Room as well! Luckily our little plant is getting some much needed rest and good growing weather during the week so they can bulk up for another onslaught of cocktail fans on the weekends…

Blueberry Basil Smashblueberry-lemonade-photo-260-ac-008

1½ oz Distiller’s Gin No. 6 (or North Shore Vodka, or Distiller’s Gin No. 11)
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Simple Syrup
8-10 Fresh Blueberries
2 Leaves of Fresh Basil (or Mint, if you prefer)

Muddle blueberries and simple. Add gin, lemon juice, basil and shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice (double strain it if you don’t want it a bit chunky). Garnish with a basil sprig or skewer of blueberries.

Cheers to summer garden cocktails!
