We are excited to again be part of Venus de Miles, a ladies bike ride across the North Shore of Chicago again this year. The ride takes place the morning of Saturday, August 9th. Some things we love about this event:
- It’s a ride, not a race – the point is to get out and have a great ride with friends in a fun atmosphere, not to win a medal,
- It’s no ordinary cycling event – the post ride party includes spa treatments, gourmet snacks and delicious daytime cocktails (made by yours truly), and
- It’s a fundraiser for Greenhouse Scholars, an organization that provides intellectual, academic, professional, and financial support to high achieving students who do not have the resources to attend college.
A great day for a great cause – what’s not to love?¬†If you would like to join in on the ride, they’ve given us an insider discount – get $10 off your registration fee by using the code Venus14
 Bonus РA Dinner Experience Too!
In addition to the race, there’s a great dinner that night as well – called The Community Table, this event also raises funds for Greenhouse Scholars. Along with chef Zoe Schor from Ada Street Kitchen in Chicago and the folks at Goose Island, we’ll be serving up some great food and drink at Elawa Farm in nearby Lake Forest. Join us – $200 per person, tickets available through the link above.
