This is fun and refreshing cocktail with a kick. Old Tom Gin is a precursor to the more commonly known London Dry – it has fruity and floral notes with a touch of sweetness. With an overabundance of banana peppers in the garden, we added a slice on a whim and struck gold! The banana pepper adds a hint of spice and heat without overpowering the gin.
It’s fast to put together, just be sure to thoroughly wash your hands after cutting the banana pepper.
Add gin and banana pepper to glass, fill with ice. Top with tonic and stir briefly. Enjoy!
For an extra kick try a hotter pepper or add more of the banana pepper.
