COCKTAILS WITH SCOFFLAW OLD TOM GIN

This historical spirit ruled the bars in the 1800’s, but nearly went extinct until the early 2000’s. For years, we’ve been making this one, but only recently made it available beyond a few select bars in Chicago. Enjoy Scofflaw Old Tom Gin on the rocks, or in one of the many classic cocktails designed for Old Tom gin. Or in one of these:

SIMPLE & ELEGANT

Scofflaw Gimlet

1½ oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz Simple Syrup

Shake with ice, and strain into glass filled with fresh ice (or a chilled coupe glass). Garnish with a lime wedge.

Tom & Tonic

2 oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin
4 oz Tonic Water

Combine over ice, stir briefly. Garnish with a lime or lemon wedge. Muddle in a few slices of hot pepper if you’re feeling spicy.

CLASSIC COCKTAILS


Tom Collins

2 oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz Simple Syrup
Soda Water

Shake first three ingredients with ice; strain into ice-filled Collins glass. Top with soda water, garnish with a lemon wedge.

Martinez

1½ oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin
¾ oz Sweet Vermouth
½ oz Maraschino Liqueur
1 Dash Orange Bitters

Stir ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled rocks. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry and a swath of orange peel expressed over the top of the drink.

Army Navy

2 oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz Orgeat
1 Dash Angostura Bitters

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into chilled coupe glass. No garnish necessary.

Scofflaw Punch

1½ oz Scofflaw Old Tom Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz Honey Syrup
¼ oz Campari or Aperol

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with an orange half wheel.
