This week, we’re cataloguing some of our favorite fizzy cocktails for your midnight toasting!

It’s no secret that we love the bubbles and end of year celebrations are a great excuse to ramp your party up a notch with a signature cocktail. These are all crowd pleasers and easy to put together ahead of time and just top with bubbly in the moment. As we did in last week’s holiday cocktail post, we suggest a quick peek at our previous Holiday Punches post. It’s full of great tips on batching and prepping for a crowd and very helpful if you’re entertaining.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff…

Pear Sparkler – We have a couple of variations of this cocktail. Pear and rosemary are classic winter flavors, this recipes uses our Distiller’s Gin No. 6 with pear puree. We also love these flavors with our classic Gin No. 11  in a Pear Rosemary Fizz with a rosemary syrup and pear juice.

Ginger Mint Sparkler – Bright mint and surprising depth from the ginger syrup, this vodka cocktail is delicious and goes especially well with leftover holiday cookies!

Death in the Afternoon –  Our Sirène Absinthe Verte is soft and lovely in this Ernest Hemingway classic. It’s a sophisticated aperitif yet easy to put together and sure to impress your literary friends!

French 75 – we would be completely remiss if we didn’t include this classic cocktail with our Distiller’s Gin No. 6. Named after a World War I artillery gun, it’s light but it packs a big punch!

Walking on Sunshine – We love our Sol Chamomile Citrus paired with honey, and this variation of a French 76 has just a touch of honey and orange liqueur to kick up the citrus.

In these cocktails, as well as most other sparkling cocktails, club soda and sparkling wine can be used interchangeably. We suggest a sparkling wine on the dry side, and that you keep extra citrus and syrups on hand to balance the drink depending on the acidity and sweetness in your wine. Always taste, taste, taste when you’re creating your menu… it’s a tough job (wink, wink) but SO important!

Cheers to fancy glasses full of bubbles, and a happy new year to all…
